New Structure

Anyone building a new structure, moving a mobile home or double wide onto a lot, will first need to obtain a building permit at the County Courthouse. While obtaining your permit, be sure to ask for an address request form. You may also obtain an address request form by calling (304) 420-0911 or printing the one located here. Please fill out the form completely, all required information, down to location of the Building Permit Number. The return the form to the Central Telecommunications Center, 911 Core Road, Parkersburg, WV 26104.

Please note, the driveway will need to be established and the digging for the footer or trailer pads should be in place before a new address can be issued. It will require several days to coordinate a trip to the location to obtain the current address.

If the new structure, mobile home, or double wide will be sharing a driveway with any other structure, it may be necessary to name the driveway before an address can be established. Please contact (304) 420-0911 if this may be the case or if you have any other questions.
